i like this band because they do a pretty cool spin on the typical build/climax formula. at its heart, this record is actually a series of huge bass/drum grooves, with the other instruments and vocals effected and recorded to be ghostly and unidentifiable. the general vibe is spooky, punctuated with the occasional discarded circus melody or frantic, running-for-your-life-in-the-jungle breakdown.
